A speed restriction for each curve radius conforms to the following table.
3.4.4 Adjustment and improvement of curve
(1) Circularity adjustment
- Circularity is adjusted once a year in accordance with automatic adjustment of multiple tie tamper. Moreover, manual adjustment is performed once a year in accordance with computer processing by the versine method.
- Adjustment of a sharp curve continued to a mountain area is one of the important subjects for permanent way maintenance and therefore, it is systematically progressed in accordance with concentrated study and management of the Lampang permanent-way maintenance division.
- Therefore, well-adjusted tracks are provided under a severe condition in which a train travels at a considerable high speed on a curve with a small radius.
(2) Curve improvement
- Improvement work is progressed in which a sharp curve with a radius of less than 300 m including 180 to 200 m radius is changed to a curve with a radius of 300 m or more.
